Abstract
874,487. Nuclear reactors. UNITED KING- DOM ATOMIC ENERGY AUTHORITY. July 17, 1959 [July 26, 1958], No. 24123/58. Class 39(4). Erosion of graphite moderator by carbon dioxide coolant is reduced by adding to the coolant 0.5% to 10% by volume of carbon monoxide. The CO content may be measured by infra-red detectors and controlled by replacement with CO 2 or by oxidation of bledoff coolant.
