Abstract
792,113. Nuclear reactors. STICHTING REACTOR CENTRUM NEDERLAND. July 16, 1956 [July 18, 1955], No. 21931/56. Drawings to Specification. Class 39(4). A nuclear reactor fuel is in powder form and is circulated continuously downwards through the reaction zone and upwards through the cooling zone by the fluidizing gas. The fissile powder includes a heat carrying material and may also include the moderator and a breeder material. The materials used may be, fissile material U235, U233, Pu ; moderator beryllium oxide ; heat carrier Bi 2 O 3 , MgO, SiO 2 MgSiO 3 , ZrSiO 4 , Mg 2 P 2 O 7 ; gas O 2 , CO 2 , Co, He ; breeder, U238, Th ; cooling medium, H 2 O; reflector, graphite.
