Abstract
873,055. Suspending curtains. MONO CURTAIN RAIL CO. Ltd. April 28, 1960 [Jan. 28, 1959], No. 3007/59. Class 52(5). A cutain rail support comprises a bracket 10 and a cap 16 sprung into abutting relationship with the bracket, the abutting faces each having a groove 14, 20 to receive projections 6 from the rail 1. The bracket has mounting apertures 11, 12 and a boss 13 provided with a passage 15 slidably receiving resilient tongues 19 on the cap which have shoulders 22 to engage the inner face of the boss. The cap may be sprung into a secondary bracket 9 similarly mounted in the main rail to support an overlapping rail or be replaced by a valance support 25. End stops 27 with self-tapping screws are provided. The rails and brackets are of metal, nylon or other thermosetting plastic, a reinforcing wire being embedded between the flanges 6 of a plastic rail and, in a modification, the lugs are formed on the walls of the passage 15.
