Abstract

A hair-dyeing composition comprises 3 : 4-diaminobenzoic acid, or a water-soluble salt thereof, e.g., the ammonium salt, together with an aromatic p-diamine, such as p-toluylene diamine, and/or an aminophenol. The composition, which is employed in aqueous solution, may also include resorcin and urea peroxide, and may be formed into a cream with the addition of a wool wax emulsion, to which hydrogen peroxide may be added just prior to use.
