872,627. Fluid-pressure servomotor-control systems. LANDIS & GYR A. G. Jan. 11, 1960 [Jan. 14, 1959], No. 938/60. Addition to 825,269. Class 135. In a thermostatic valve according to the parent Specification the two control valves 21, 22 oppositely actuated by thermal element 17 alternately according to the position of a bimetal 24 responsive to the temperature of heating on cooling medium flowing through the main valve 5, the control valves are replaced by a rocker arm 30 spring loaded on one side and actuated by the thermal element 17 on the other and carrying bimetals 31, 32 with screws 33, 34 for engaging ball valves 21, 22 loaded by leaf springs 37, 38. Using heating medium, bimetal 31 moves screw head 35 to abut rocker 30 so that decrease in room temperature opens valve 21 against stop 39 to release pressure above diaphragm 7 to open valve 5 and supply heating medium. Bimetal 32 moves screw 34 upwards so as not to actuate valve 22. Using cooling medium, valve 22 is actuated instead of valve 21, a decrease in room temperature closing it to close the valve 5.
