Abstract

870,252. Clamps. AEROQUIP A. G. May 19,1959 [July 28, 1958], No. 17008/59. Class 61. A flexible-chain clamp for use in assembling hose fittings &c. comprises arcuate jaws 10 Fig. 1 circumferentially engaged by the rollers of two sections of chain 16, 18 which are interconnected by threaded studs 26 slidable through abutments 30 and engaged by nuts 38. The jaws 10 have linings 12 of rubber, leather &c. and are loosely attached to the chains by rings 40 of rubber &c. The nuts 38 are of sufficient length for manual operation. Specification 848,187 is referred to.
