Abstract

921,015. Expanding pliers. ELASTRATOR CO. Ltd. May 12, 1959 [May 12, 1968; Feb. 6, 1959], No. 16299/59. Class 61. A device for expanding a resilient ring comprises two pivoted jaw members 1 each having a fixed stud 3 at one end and an associated movable stud 4, the four studs being arranged so that when brought together (Fig. 1) they may receive a resilient ring, the outer portions of the studs which receive the ring being grooved or waisted (Fig. 7). The studs 4 are mounted on carriers 12 which are slid within the jaw members 1 by links 11 when the jaws are opened. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specificntion 605,511.
