Abstract

851,182. Circlips. CROSS MANUFACTURING CO. (1938) Ltd. Aug. 23, 1957, No. 26703/57. Class 89(2). A circlip for an internal-groove 2, Fig. 1, comprises an annular-body 3 dented on each side of the split to remove the ends, which abut or substantially abut, from the groove. To contract the ring for insertion or removal, the ends are overlapped by a pliers device 8, Fig. 2. The dented-part 4 may be shaped, e.g. as in Figs. 4 and 5 of Specification 662,321. Specification 535,496 also is referred to.
