812,482. Removing bushes. CROSS MANUFACTURING CO. (1938) Ltd. Jan. 7, 1957 [Dec. 12, 1956], No. 37950/56. Class 61. [Also in Group XXV] A split spring retaining ring 4, seated in a peripheral groove 5 in a member 3, is removed from the groove by a tool 8 inserted in a passage 6 extending from an accessible surface of the member, to the groove. The ends of the ring adjacent the split thereof, may have notches engageable, e.g. by a screwdriver to turn the ring in its groove until it is positioned suitably for engagement by the tool.
