868,927. Sleeved garments. BLACK, J. B. Sept. 29, 1958 [July 6, 1957], No. 21471/57. Class 141 In lining a sleeved garment, the free raw edge of the sleeve lining 19 is positioned at the armhole under the folded edge 22 of the body lining 23 prior to machine-stitching the two linings together. The sleeve lining may first be tacked at 21 to the interlining 14 and padding 15 and to a fabric strip 17 located at those portions of the armhole edge where no padding or interlining is provided, so that the stitching 21 does not show on the exterior of the garment. The armhole edge of the body lining 23, which may be reinforced by a bias-cut strip (not shown), is then folded and stitched at 24 to the sleeve lining. Straps for supporting inner pockets, Fig. 7 (not shown), may be secured in the seam 24.
