1281848 Shirts A G CHAUDHRY 19 April 1971 [16 Nov 1970] 54462/70 Heading A3V A shirt comprises a single piece of fabric 3, forming both sleeves, both shoulders and the yoke of the body of the shirt. A seam 7 joins two front pieces 1 to the single piece 3 and a collar 11, cuffs 9, a front facing 8 and breast pockets 12, 13 with inverted pleats 14, 15 are provided as shown. At the back of the shirt a seam joins a back piece to the single piece 3 and further seams are provided to complete the sleeves 5, 6. An inverted pleat is provided in the back of the yoke of the shirt. An alternative embodiment provides for a shirt in which both shoulders, both sleeves, the yoke and the two front pieces of the shirt are made from a single piece of material. In this case gussets are provided under the arms of the shirt. A further embodiment provides for one sleeve, one shoulder and one half of the yoke of the shirt to be made from a single piece of material, two such pieces of material joined at the back of the shirt then constitute both sleeves, both shoulders and the whole of the yoke of the shirt. The front pieces of the shirt may be fastened together by buttons, pressstuds or other suitable means.
