Class 20(3) In a balancing device for a vehicle window comprising two arms 2, 5 pivotally connected to each other at 9 and to the window pane support and door structure respectively at 3, 7, a tension spring 10 is secured at one end to the arm 5 and provided at its other end with a flexible extension 11 attached to the arm 2. The extension 11 engages in the grooved edge of a cam 12 on the arm 2, the cam being so shaped that the upward force exerted on the glass pane remains constant irrespective of change in the spring tension during movement of the pane.
