866,898. Gas burners. NATIONAL AIROIL BURNER CO. Feb. 15, 1960, No. 5323/60. Class 75(1). A burner nozzle 10 comprises a central opening 35 surrounded by a plurality of openings 31 and separated therefrom by a hollow flared member 36, the area of the aperture 3.5 being about one-half of the total discharge area. The lengths of the openings 31 are about three-quarters of their diameters, and their longitudinal axes may be outwardly inclined up to 20 degrees from the axis of the opening 35. Additional gas may be injected at 44.
