Abstract

866,573. Shuttering for casting floors. FORMWORK PATENTS Ltd. Aug. 14, 1959 [May 15, 1958], No. 15693/58. Class 20(2) Centering for floors &c. comprises columns 11 on which are vertically slidable frames 17 supporting centering 24 and adapted to be raised by winches 34 and engaged and supported by lugs 37, the frames then being connected together by plates 40 and angle-irons 33. The frame 17 comprises a plate 18 engaging the circular section column by means of a square hole through the corners of which the lugs 37 can pass and the column then be turned on its axis to engage the lugs 37 under the plate 18. The columns 11 rest on a plate 12 on which it is centered by a frame 36 carrying at one end the winch 34 and at the other a castor wheel 44 which can be engaged by means of a screw 45 with a rail 47 for moving the centering to a new position. The plates 12 are connected together by angle-irons 13. Cables 38 brace the centering and are adjustable to limit the height to which the frames 17 are raised. The centering panels 24 are supported on joists 23 adjusted on adjustable jacking pins 25 on tubes 28. Specifications 740,691, 760,119 and 859,161 are referred to.
