Abstract

865,811. Sawing stone. PASCOE, J. T. Oct. 24, 1958 [Jan. 23, 1958], No. 2257/58. Class 124. A circular saw assembly comprises a thin circular steel blade 1 having peripheral diamond-impregnated-teeth 13 and mounted on a shaft 2 between two grooved flanges 5, 6, between two outer flanges 3, 4 and of intermediate diameter between that of the blade 1 and that of the flanges 3, 4, and having at least two shaftconcentric grooves 14 in the faces adjacent the blade 1, one of greater and one of smaller diameter than that of the flanges 3, 4. Transverse holes are cut in the flanges 5, 6 from the grooves 14 to the opposite faces, the grooved faces having recesses 11, 12 less in diameter than the smallest groove 14. The flange 3 is welded on the shaft 2, and a washer 7 is tightened against the flange 4 by a threaded locking nut 8 for assembly of the saw 1. The flanges 3, 4 have recesses 9, 10.
