957,307. Washers. D.E.K. GRANT. Sept. 15, 1961 [Dec. 1, 1960], No. 41249/60. Heading F2H. [Also in Division G1] A washer 1 for spacing the knives of a paperslitting &c. machine has a slot 2 extending from the periphery of the washer so that it may be positioned laterally on the knife-shaft. The base of the slot may be shaped to engage a square &c. shaft, and the periphery is notched at 6 and knurled or serrated &c. to facilitate handling. The metal, synthetic resin &c. washer may bear an indication of its thickness and have its horns 4 rounded or chamfered.
