A conveyer 3 (Fig. 1) for receiving material from a conveyer 2 at the bottom of a vehicle body can be stowed beneath the conveyer 2. In the form shown the inner end of the conveyer 3 is supported by pins 26 from slots in a yoke 24 mounted for movement about a vertical axis on a bracket 29 hinged at 30 (Fig. 5) to the vehicle so that when it is raised it guides the pins 26 into engagement with channels 35 on the vehicle. Upward movement of the bracket 29 is resisted by springs 33. The outer end of the conveyer is supported by a yoke 4 which is suspended from a jib 7 telescoped and locked hydraulically, and which carries rollers 5 engaging tracks 6 on the frame of the conveyer 3. Movement of the conveyer 3 about its slewing axis 27 (Fig. 5) is restrained frictionally under the influence of springs 28, and the pins 26 are formed so that they can escape from the slots 25 in the yoke 24 only when the conveyer is horizontal. Recesses 37 inside plates 31 supporting the tracks 35 engage rods 36 on the yoke 24 to centre it as the bracket 29 is swung upwardly. The conveyer 3 is driven by an hydraulic motor adjacent its inboard end.
