A dust bin with tiltable lid b comprises in combination a channel plate a attached to, and protruding from, the lid b, a supporting bracket c attached to the bin, an axis pin a<SP>2</SP> uniting the plate a and bracket c and an angle-shaped lever e, e<SP>1</SP> in the form of a single plate having an integral cylindrical bearing part around the axis pin a<SP>2</SP>, one part e<SP>1</SP> of the lever taking a purchase against the end a<SP>3</SP> of the plate a and the other part e being pressed when raising the lid. At the point a<SP>3</SP> there may be a roller against which the arm e<SP>1</SP> may bear.
