In a dust or like bin a the lower part is accommodated in a metal annulus b of J-section as shown, with the shorter limb b<SP>1</SP> extending inward as a flange b<SP>2</SP> beneath the bottom a<SP>1</SP> and the longer limb b riveted or equivalently secured externally at c to the said part. There may be holes for riveting and in the J-section for another purpose, the bin resting on the edge b<SP>3</SP>.
