Abstract

862,872. Collapsible tubes ; packages. WATNEY MANN Ltd. Jan. 27, 1959 [Oct. 30, 1957], No. 33900/57. Classes 66 and 94(1). A flexible tube 5 for containing beer is fitted into a container 1, the closed end of the tube being held between the rollers of a mangle 3 turned by a handle 4 so that the tube may be wound through the rollers to expel the contents through a nozzle end 7. A one-way valve 8 is incorporated in the nozzle end 7 and protrudes through a hole 2 in the container, the end of the valve member having a discharge pipe 9 fitted to it. The collapsed tube may emerge through a slot in the container. The tube 5 is of synthetic plastic film.
