Abstract

862,819. Nozzles. DORMAN SPRAYER CO. Ltd. Nov. 17, 1958 [Nov. 28, 1957], No. 37115/57. Class 69 (3). A spray nozzle, e.g. for spraying insecticides and weed killers at low pressure, comprises a disc 4 having passages 5 extending in the axial direction and slots 6 tangential to a frusto-conical chamber 2 in a disc 1, the discs being mounted on a body 7 by a retaining nut 8. The disc 4 is interchangeable with others having different size passages and slots and the discs 1 and 4 may be other than circular. One of the two discs may be of larger size than the other and formed with a recess which accommodates at least partially the other disc. The Provisional Specification also describes an arrangement wherein the disc with the frusto-conical chamber has two slots leading tangentially from the chamber to an annular groove in an inner disc furnished with axially-extending feed passages, the outer disc in this case being exchangeable with other discs having different sized slots.
