Abstract

862,343. Shelving. LUNDQVIST, O. H. Nov. 5, 1959 [Nov. 12, 1958], No. 37609/59. Class 52(1). In collapsible shelving having side parts 1, each comprising two uprights 2 interconnected by transverse bars 3 and having bores 4 into which supports 5 are inserted, and shelves 6 resting on supports 5, the support 5 consists of a wire with two ends 7 inserted into bores 4, a bow part 8 and cranked portion 9 and the shelf 6, reinforced by member 11 has in the portion 10 which projects into side part I a flank 13 facing upright 2 provided with a recess 14 to accommodate the non-cranked portion of support 5, the bottom portion of the shelf resting on cranked part 9. In a modification Fig. 5 a metal support member 21 of T-section is secured to the uprights by screws and has a sawtooth edge 22 providing support surfaces 23. In another modification Fig. 8 the support is a sheet metal blank 31 with pegs 34 insertable in holes 4. In further modifications the extensions 34 are replaced by a single peg or a pair of pegs. In a still further modification Fig. 16 the metal angle member 11 has recess 14 in the horizontal flange.
