Abstract
861,251. Dams. WILLIAMS, C. I. Aug. 19, 1957, No. 26118/57. Class 68(2). [Also in Group X] A water-seal strip 10, Fig. 4, formed of moulded rubber, thermoplastic material or the like and used alone or, as shown for a wall, in conjunction with sealing strips 30 and reinforcing rods 31 alternate ones of which are cut across at the joint, comprises U-shaped portions 17, 18, Fig. 1, integrally moulded to a T-shaped section 19, the strip 10 being initially fixed to a bulkhead 11 of a concrete form construction by nails 24 and stiffened by a stud 25. In a modification, Fig. 2 (not shown), the undulations in the parts of the strip 10 are greater. In Fig. 6 (not shown) the water-seal strip is used at a joint between the interior face of a wall and a slab footing into which the wall is recessed. Specifications 715,045, 727,936 and 769,592 are referred to.
