Abstract

860,508. Seats. MORITZ, P., and MORITZ, V. Jan. 19, 1959 [Sept. 11, 1958], No. 1923/59. Class 52(2). In a railway or other vehicle seat rotatable through 180 degrees, a base 1 is secured to the floor of the vehicle and a seat frame 2 is fixed to a base plate 3 having a central extension forming a pivot rotatable in a seating in a member laterally displaceable by sliding on and between tubes 7, 8 ridigly connected to base 1, the member being immobilized at one or other of its end positions by means of necked pins 9, 10 which engage springs 11, 12. Hooks 15, 16, 17, 18 on base I engage hooks on the frame 2 in the positions of use so that the seat must be moved laterally to disengage said hooks before it can be rotated.
