A pair of leg rests are mounted on an invalid wheelchair, so that each can be swivelled to a release position, in which head 31 is aligned with recess 34 and the rest 10 disconnected, by lifting pins 21, 22 out of holes in lugs 19 and 20, as the head 31 passes through the recess 34. To hold the rest stationary in the position of use, end 26, of spring detent 25, engages a further recess 27 in lug 20.
