[Also in Division E2] A fitting for use with folding furniture comprises attachment members 10, 11 pivotally connected together and adapted to be connected respectively to two relatively pivotable parts of an article of furniture, the member 11 having a ratchet 13 coacting with a pawl 14 on the member 10, the pawl being movable between an inoperative position (Fig. 4) and an operative position (Fig. 1) in which it engages the ratchet 13, and a supporting member 12 pivotally connected to the member 10, the member 11 being provided with means 9, 17 to engage the member 12 and prevent relative pivotal movement between the members 11, 12 when the members 10, 11 are in the operative position (Fig. 1). In the position shown in Fig 1 inwardly directed lips 16 on the supporting member 12 engage flanges 17 on the ratchet 13 and washers 9.
