Abstract

1,117,229. Loading stations. K. T. L. ROSENGREN. 30 July, 1965 [31 July, 1964 [No. 32855/65. Heading B8E. A loading bridge comprises a bridging member 16, Fig. 1, for extending between a raised loading surface 1 and the load surface of a vehicle and an operating mechanism for pivoting the member 16 between a lowered operative position and a raised inoperative position, the mechanism comprising a ram 18 acting on the underside of the member 16 and a pair of lateral arms 10 which are pivoted at one end adjacent the surface 1 and adapted at the other end to slidably engage the member 16, the latter having projections 17 for engaging the arms 10. The member 16 is mounted on a carriage comprising a frame 8 to which the arms 10 are pivoted at 11, the arms 10 having pins 12 for engaging the member 16 and, the latter being pivotally connected to the frame 8 by arms 13. The ram 18 is pivotally connected to the frame 8 and the member 16 at 20 and 21 and the frame 8 has rollers 23, 26, 29 for engaging rails on the surface 1. Alternatively, the rails could be on the frame 8 and the rollers on the surface 1.
