Abstract
860,063. Filters. LANDSVERK A.B. Oct. 2, 1959 [July 24, 1959], No. 33550/59. Class 46. The pulp is removed from the drum 1 of a centrifugal separator by the scraper 12 carried by the shaft 14, which is mounted for rotational and axial movement in the sleeve 11. The scraper 12 is adapted to cut a groove in the upper part of the pulp cylinder 9 by rotary movement about the shaft 14 and then by axial movement of the shaft to dig out the remaining pulp. The pulp is discharged through the bottom opening 8 aided by a downwardly directed compressed air jet. The air jet may be secured to a separate support in the drum and a plurality of downwardly directed jets may be arranged on the shaft 2. The compressed air may be supplied periodically.
