Abstract

858,406. Roller conveyers. DAWSON BROS. Ltd. May 28, 1959 [March 25, 1958], No. 9462/58. Class 78 (1). [Also in Group XVII] In a roller conveyer 1 for transporting crates of bottles to or from a de-crating or crating station, a fixed locating frame 6 is positioned above the conveyer at each station. This frame is of rectangular form and has removable internal side and end members 7, 8 which are inclined as shown in Fig. 3 to centre the crate along two axes at right angles. The frame may also have means, e.g. rollers 9, for locating the grab head of crating &c. mechanism. The crates can be raised from the conveyer by two pairs of rollers 10 which are mounted on rods 11 actuated hydraulically or pneumatically.
