Abstract

1,187,424. Weighing apparatus. DEMAG A.G. July 7, 1967, No. 31506/67. Heading G1W. Apparatus for sorting bars 1 comprises a weighing and marking device 4 to which the bars are supplied, a conveying path along which the bars are conveyed to an inspection station 13 provided with a device 18 for turning the bars, and stacking stations 20, 24, 25, 26 to which the bars are transferred after inspection in accordance with their weight. The bars after being weighed are stamped by a machine 6 in accordance with their weight and the conveying path may comprise a plurality of driven rollers 9 and a plurality of trucks 10, 11, 12, the trucks being driven so as to arrange the bars in groups on their arrival at the inspection station so that a group of four can be inspected at a time. A barrier 19 allows passage of the bars of a predetermined weight to stacking station 20 and other bars to a conveyer 22 supplying different stacking stations 24, 25, 26.
