Abstract

The Specification comprises compound of the formula: <FORM:0858078/IV(b)/1> wherein R1 is hydrogen or alkyl and R11 and R111 are each alkyl which may be prepared by reacting an alkoxymethyl cyclopentadiene with a Grignard reagent of the formula R1R11R11 C-Mg.-X where X is halogen. Suitable starting materials are methoxy-, ethoxy-, and n-butoxy-, methylcyclopentadiene which with tertiary butyl magnesium chloride yield neopentyl cyclopentadiene. The reaction may be effected in diethyl ether at 20 DEG - 30 DEG C.
