Class 38(1) In an electrical connection between relatively rotating inner and outer conductors 1, 2 comprising an annular liquid metal filled space 5 together with a mechanical bearing constituted by sleeves 6, 7 for the rotating member, the bearing surface has a circumferential inlet channel 8 for lubricant at a position axially adjacent the annulus 5 and a circumferential outlet channel 9 axially remote from the annulus. Inlet supply ducts 11 and outlet drainage ducts 12 are provided. The channels 8 and 9 may be formed only in the outer sleeve 7, or in the inner sleeve 6 or in both sleeves. The liquid metal may comprise mercury or gallium. Specification 777,335 is referred to.
