Abstract

PURPOSE:To provide a fastening device with self centering function thereby easing the tolerance of the equipment while assuring more reliable centering. CONSTITUTION:To fastern a shaft 1 and a boss 2, an inner ring 10 and an outer ring 20 are inserted between the shaft 1 and the boss 2 whereby a tapered surfases 13 and 23 of respective ring come in contact with eacg other. When fastening bolts 30 are screw into threaded holes 25 of the outer ring 20 through cleaeance holes 14 of the inner ring 10, both rings 10 and 20 are drawn together whereby the tapered surfaces 13 and 23 cause the inner ring 10 to contract around the shaft 1 and the outer ring 20 to expand against the surface of the boss I.D. therebt firmly fastening the shaft 1 and the boss 2. I.D. and O.D. of the flanged parts 11 and 21 of the respective ring are predetermined so as to have as small clearance as possible with the shaft 1 and the boss 2 for effective centering of the equipment.
