Class 36 A symmetrical high-frequency twin cable comprises a pair of conductors 1 carried within a flattened insulating tube 2 by two internal webs 3 joining opposite sides of the tube, the webs extending substantially at right angles to the plane containing the shortest electrostatic lines of force so that only air dielectric exists in that portion of the tube 6 containing the shortest lines of force. A screen of aluminium foil 4 and a protective cover 5 may be provided. The ends of the cable may be sealed in a water-tight manner by heating the insulation and pressing it together.
