Abstract

855,924. Coiling textile sliver &c. VEREINIGTE GLANZSTOFF-FABRIKEN A. G. Sept. 26, 1958 [Oct. 2, 1957], No. 30864/58. Class 120(3). Means for delivering rovings into rectangular containers comprises fixed rollers 12 above a container 10 on a platform 8 reciprocable relatively at right angles to an intermediate support 6 which in turn is reciprocable on a fixed support 2. The support 2 and platform 6 are moved by forks 31, 32 embracing pins 15, 33 each carried by two endless chains e.g. 13, 24 moving over driven toothed wheels, the forks being deep enough to engage the pins when on the lower run of the chains. To enable the stroke of the support or platform to be varied, the forks may be secured to an arm pivoted to the member 2 and having an adjustable pin engaging a slot in the support 6. The chains may have common or independent drive means, means being provided to enable the speeds to be varied absolutely and relatively to one another.
