Abstract

1,271,634. Yarn delivery mechanism. BARMAG BARMER MASCHINENFABRIK A.G. 7 Jan., 1970 [7 Jan., 1969], No. 734/70. Heading D1D. Yarn delivery mechanism comprises a driven roller 1 engaged by a roller, rollers or, as shown, a belt running about rollers, mounted on a rocker arm 5, a tension spring 18 between the rocker arm and a fixed point to biass the roller or belt against roller 1 and a pin 9 on the rocker arm engaging a lever 10, e.g. in a slot 14, there being a latch, e.g. in the form of a notch 16 to engage pin 9 and hold the roller or belt out of contact with roller 1. Arm 5 is provided with a suitable portion 6 which can be gripped in order to pull the belt from roller 1 and cause pin 9 to engage latch 16 and hold the belt in its retracted position; the rocker arm is released by lifting lever 10. The notch 16 may be replaced by a magnetic holding device or a spring clip. (For Figure see next column)
