In a mounting arrangement for a false twist tube 1 comprising a driving roller 3 and an idler roller 2 mounted on a plate 9 pivoted at 10 and urged towards the tube 1 by a spring 11, a two part lever 4, 7 pivoted at 5 may be shifted by a device 6 so that tube 1 and roller 2 are moved out of contact with the driving roller 3 and drive to tube 1 is suspended. The lever arm 7 has a forked end 13 to engage the tube 1.
