Abstract

In vulcanizing foamed rubber, ammonium NN-diethyldithiocarbamate is used as the accelerator. A typical mix is a formulation of sulphur, sodium silicofluoride, di-b -naphthyl-p-phenylenediamine, zinc oxide and ammonium N-N-diethyldithiocarbamate in 100 parts of natural rubber in latex form. According to the Provisional Specification, the rubber vulcanized by the method is not restricted to foamed rubber.
