Abstract
855,445. Wrappers. HANSEL-JUNIOR G.m.b.H. Aug. 9, 1957, No. 25126/57. Class 94(1). A wrapper for flat objects such as chocolate bars comprises two wrapping sheets 1 and 2, placed one on the other, the outer sheet 2 consisting of a stiff material having two side flaps 4, 5, two end flaps 6, 6<SP>1</SP> and four tabs 8 between them which extend into the end folds of the inner sheet 1 to secure the object in the wrapper. The superposed sheets are placed upon the chocolate bar and the tabs 8 first bent downwardly thus folding down the end portions of the inner sheet, which is of less stiff material, as shown in Fig. 2. The sides 4, 5 are then bent down as shown in Fig. 3 so that the tabs 8 extend laterally into the folds formed in the ends of the inner sheet. The end flaps 6, 61 are then bent down, pressing the end folds of the inner sheet flat and folded up against the under surface of the chocolate bar. The glued portion 9 of the flap 5 is folded upwardly on to the flap 4. A window 3 may be provided in the outer sheet 2 for pictures &c., together with a ribbon tape or seal.
