Abstract

855,227. Combustion chamber linings. TONY DESIGN A.S. Sept. 11, 1959 [Sept. 15, 1958], No. 31009/59. Class 51 (1). A refractory lining for a combustion chamber is built up from refractory blocks of four different shapes. A cuboid front brick 1, Fig. 1, has a flared opening for a burner, and cuboid corner bricks 3, Fig. 3, each have a corner removed to form a part-spherical concave surface. A corner edge of each of the middle bricks 2, Fig. 2, is removed to form a part-cylindrical concave surface. The combustion chamber, Fig. 5, is built up of a front brick 1, corner bricks 3, middle bricks 2 and filler bricks 4.
