Abstract

A method of manufacturing anisotropic magnets containing 28-42% Co, 10-20% Ni, 6-10% Al, 2-4% Cu, 4-10% Ti and the balance iron and unavoidable impurities comprises cooling the magnets from 1210 DEG C. to 600 DEG C. while in a magnetic field in a time more than one minute and not more than ten minutes, heating the magnets, in the magnetic field, from 600 DEG C. to a temperature of from 10 DEG C to 70 DEG C. below the Curie point, and maintaining the magnets, still in the magnetic field, at a temperature within the range and varying not more than plus or minus 10 DEG C., for two to thirty minutes. The magnets may be cooled from 600 DEG C. to room temperature and reheated to 600 DEG C. either in or not in the magnetic field, but heating over 600 DEG C. must be carried out within the magnetic field. Specification 821,824 is referred to.
