Abstract
852,018. Gauging departure from standard form. VYZKUMNY USTAV PRO VALIVA LOZISKA V BRNE. June 20, 1958 [July 18, 1957], No. 19913/58. Class 106 (2). A dimension-measuring device is provided with adjustable screw contacts 6, 7, 11, 12, and two or more levers 1, 9, one lever 1 being actuated by a feeler 2 and operating a signal when the dimension tolerance of a workpiece 13 has been exceeded and acting on the other lever or levers 9 by means of a friction clutch 8, the other lever or levers 9 operating a signal when the permitted tolerance of the shape deviation (D - d) has been exceeded. As shown, the feeler 2 acts on a spring-loaded lever 1 moving between adjustable contacts 6, 7, electric currents being set up if the maximum and minimum diameters D, d of the rotating workpiece 13 are too high or too low respectively. A second lever 9 pivoted on the same axis as the lever 1 is connected thereto by a friction clutch 8. Thus as the feeler 2 rises, the lever 9 pivots clockwise on to an adjustable limit screw 11. Once the greatest diameter of the workpiece has passed under the feeler 2, it begins to drop and the lever 9 moves anti-clockwise, making an electric circuit through an adjustable contact 12 if the difference between the diameters (D - d) exceeds the permitted tolerance.
