Abstract

A herbicidal composition comprises a solution product of a phenoxyacetic acid, trimethylamine, dimethylamine and water, in which the amines are substantially present as the salts of the acid, preferably in which the ratio by weight of trimethylamine salt to dimethylamine salt is from about 78-22. Specified phenoxyacetic acids are 2,4, - dichlorophenoxyacetic acid, 4 - chloro - 2 - methyl - phenoxyacetic and 2,4,5-trichlorophenoxyacetic acids and in the former case the solution contains the equivalent of at least 500 grams of the 2,4 - dichlorophenoxyacetic acid per litre at ambien temperature and preferably at least 700 grams per litre.
