Abstract

850,007. Hydraulically operated grabs. NIMESKERN, A. June 8,1959 [June 18, 1958], No. 19531/59. Class 78 (4). The jaws of a grab are closed by individual hy. draulic jacks 22 and are opened collectively by a single jack 16. As shown, the jack 16 drives a piston 14 engaging rollers 12 on the jaw 9 to turn them about their pivots 8. The movement of each jack is limited by the upper edge of its radial arm 10 contacting the flange 6 on the case 1.
