849,701. Fishing tackle. HORNBY, T. G. June 9, 1959 [June 10, 1958], No. 18517/58. Class 48. A device for attaching a float or a weight (not shown) to a fishing line L comprises a body 10 adjustably attached to the line L and an eye element 18 detachably secured to the body 10. The float &c. is detachably secured to the eye element 18. The body 10 is conical and has external grooves 11. The fishing line is clamped to the body 10 by a rubber tube 12. Alternatively the line is clamped to the body by a clip pivoted thereon. The eye element 18 is of spring steel and has two legs which are inserted into a bore 13 in the body 10. An out turned end 19 of one of the legs engages in a recess 15 in the body.
