Abstract

1375261 Fishing float SUPER HOBBY NV and J C A SAUTER 30 March 1972 [6 April 1971] 15038/72 Heading A1A A fishing float, which may be used for 'sounding' has a fishing line threaded through slot 6 of device 5 and ring 7 which may be positioned so as to vary the length of the slot and thereby vary the braking force on the float as it rises to the water surface. The line is also threaded through eye 8 or, in modification, through apertures in device 9, which is positioned on the upper part 2 of the stem of the float. In the modification the aperture is a hole 10 connected to a groove 11, Fig. 3, so that if the diameter of body 1 is sufficiently great the line is fixed in groove 11 when the line is weighed. Body 1 may be movable along the stem of the float, and it may be re-positioned after "sounding" so that the fishing hook can be accurately positioned in the water. Furthermore, by re-positioning body 1 the length of stem 2 above the water can be varied.
