A feeding device for young animals comprises a rubber teat 10 having a flange 11 which fits into a recess 15 in a sleeve 13 into which a plug 17 is threaded to hold the teat in position. The plug 17 has an inlet 21 controlled by a non-return valve 24 to prevent liquid drawn into the teat flowing back through the inlet 21. The sleeve 13 is formed with a flange 12 to prevent the animal swallowing the device.
