[Also in Group XXIX] A valve plate for a goggle valve comprises at least two separable parts 1a, 1b, detachably secured together, e.g., by screws 10, one of the parts having at least one circular port 5 surrounded by seating rings 4, one on each side of the port, and the other having at least one blanking off portion 7 surrounded by sealing rings 6. The valve plate may be slidable by means of a rack 11 or may be rotatable about a fixed pivot.
