Abstract

1520891 Devices for connecting furniture pieces W STEEL & CO Ltd 27 Oct 1975 [10 Jan 1975] 1134/75 Heading A4U [Also in Divisions E2 and F2] Articles of furniture such as tables, chairs or benches are inter-connected by a spring-loaded pin 1 on one of the articles being interengaged with a keyhole aperture 10 in a plate 60 on another of the articles. The pin 1 has a head 3 for engaging behind the portions of the plate 60 bordering a part 12 of the aperture 10. The pairs of opposed sides of a square table have pins and apertured plates, respectively, Fig. 4 (not shown), so that the table can be connected to any side of other similarly equipped tables. A table may be attached to a wall in a similar manner. The aperture 10 may be open as shown at 26.
