Abstract

667,249. Suspensions for drawers &c. METAL TRIM, Ltd., and PENKALA E. Jan. 3, 1950. No. 123/50. Class 52 (i). [Also in Group XXXIV] A telescopic-slide support for drawers or the turntable unit of a radiogram comprises outer, intermediate and inner slides 1, 2, 3 formed with channels for balls or rollers 9, 10, two doubleacting stops 4, 6 on the slides 1, 3 respectively and two stops 5 on the slide 2, each stop 5 presenting an abutment 5a on one side of the slide 2 for engaging the stops 4, Fig. 3, and an abutment on the other side for engaging the stops 6, Fig. 5. In an alternative arrangement, two of each of the stops 4, 6 are provided and one stop 5 only. The stop 5 is removably secured by a nut and bolt 5c, 5b and can be removed through a cut-away part 3c on the slide 3 to allow disassembly of the support. The stops 4 are formed with resilient buffers 4b held in a clip 4a. Struck-up portions 1b, 2b, 3b are provided on the slides for limiting the traverse of the balls 9, 10. The slide 1 carries securing plates 7 and the slide 3 carries sockets 8 for lugs 8a carried by the drawer or the like.
